Autopia: A Lunch & Learn on Autism

  Return to previous page

About the course

This free Lunch & Learn session introduces a collaborative space for professionals to explore autism through discussion, shared experience, and reflective thinking. Led by experienced practitioners, this initial session – Autopia (Autism Utopia): What do we need to do to achieve it? – will encourage participants to think differently about autism support, focusing on what good practice looks like and how we move towards more inclusive, effective, and person-centred approaches. The session is designed to spark conversation, challenge assumptions, and create a foundation for future bitesize sessions shaped by the needs and interests of attendees.

What will you learn

By attending this session, participants will:
  • Explore the concept of “Autopia” and what ideal autism support could look like
  • Reflect on current practices and identify areas for improvement
  • Share experiences and perspectives with other professionals
  • Consider common challenges in autism support that are often overlooked
  • Contribute ideas and topics for future Lunch & Learn sessions
  • Engage in collaborative discussion to support shared learning
