Overview

The Lunch Time Seminar Series for Healthcare Professionals is a free, expert-led programme delivered by BCR Law LLP, designed to help healthcare leaders understand key legal principles that impact practice in Jersey.

Covering topics such as duty of care, informed consent, risk management, disciplinary procedures and professional accountability, the sessions provide practical legal insight to support safe practice, reduce risk, and strengthen governance in care settings.

Each seminar runs from 12:30pm–1:30pm, with lunch provided and booking required.

Session 1: Overview of the Jersey Legal System

This session provides a foundational understanding of the Jersey legal system as it applies to healthcare professionals. It covers core legal principles including duty of care, negligence tests (Bolam and causation), damages, and employer liability. Ideal for leaders seeking clarity on legal accountability and risk exposure.
